We are happy to announce this week’s winner AIBP Weekly Choice Image Competition!
This week’s choices were selected by Marietta Hardwick owner of Etta Boudoir in Chicago’s North Suburbs. She has been helping women tell their unique story through boudoir photography exclusively since 2012. Marietta joined UAF Photo Lab last year as their Tradeshow and Event Director.
And the Weekly Choice Winner is…..

What Marietta had to say, “This image drew my attention because, while seemingly only a detail shot, it captures perfectly the melding of textural details that give the overall composition a depth that made me wonder what that particular moment felt for the subject. The ice is perfectly captured and plays with the lights filtering through, the shadows, and the textures of the skin to perfectly reflect the scene at hand.”
1st Runner up this week is Lindsey Shaw of Lacy Dreams Boudoir based in Fort Worth, Texas.
Marietta’s thoughts “This image evokes romanticism from positioning to the hairstyle cascading subtly in rich brown waves down her back while seductively closing her eyes in imaginary bliss. The lash detail draws one’s eye and evokes the romanticism intended.”
2nd runner up go to Yvonne Renckens of Powervrouwen netwerk from the Netherlands.
Marietta’s comments on this image, “In this detail shot, there is an utterly unfiltered view of something almost fetishist about the image. It’s dark and somewhat moody and there is barely no evident retouching so, when the honey itself has some fantastic specular highlights that reflect the nature of the lighting available, you believe those are completely natural and reflect the available light perfectly. You can really envision the viscose properties of the honey and the way that it is splayed on the area is suggestive of something much more sensual going on.”
