Happy Tuesday all! It feels good to be back after the crazy holiday schedule. In my blur of a hectic schedule last week, I briefly read were Erin was asking Denise of Modern Love Boudoir how she got those amazing Facebook app buttons. This is something I have wanted to to do for a long time to my own page, but just kept putting it off. Well, today I made it happen! So, in today's tutorial I will tell you step by step how you can do the same.

    First Step:

Decide which apps you would like on your header. For mine, I decided on Instagram, Pinterest and The Studio. Other examples would be your blog, email sign-up, your website, etc.

    Step Two:

Design images for your custom buttons. You can either buy these pre-made on the web (Etsy has a lot) or you can design your own in Photoshop. I couldn't find any pre-made that fit my brand, so I just made them in Photoshop using the dimensions 111x74 pixels. Here is what one of my tabs looks like:

    Step Three:

Once you have design a tab for each of your apps, install the appropriate apps (if you haven't already). There is lots of information on Facebook on how to install different apps.

    Step Four:

Customize your app buttons! Your apps will have a default generic image which you want to replace with the image you designed (or purchased). Near your tabs, you will see a little drop down menu which you will expand. Next select the little pencil icon to edit and choose edit settings.

    Click "change"

This is the page where you will upload your designed image tab. Simply hover over the default image and a pencil icon will appear. Click the pencil and upload your new image.

    Step 5:

Repeat this process for all of your new apps. The finished product will look something like this.
